Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "user") and EasySchool ("we", "us", "our") regarding the EasySchool software, this website and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a license or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the Service.
2. The Service
EasySchool is a study aid for Windows that can answer questions, explain steps and help edit documents. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that any answer, result or output will be correct, complete or suitable for any particular purpose.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login details and access code confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent or abusive.
4. License, payments and time
- Every account has a license. A license only works while it has time remaining.
- Purchases are one-time payments that add time to your current license. Time is added on top of any remaining time.
- Prices are shown in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.
- Except where required by law or stated in our Refund Policy, payments are non-refundable.
- When your license runs out, the Service will stop working until you add more time.
5. Access codes and devices
- An access code links one device at a time.
- You may reset your access code from your dashboard. Resetting creates a new code, clears the device lock and logs out all devices; any installed copy must be activated again.
- Sharing, selling or publishing access codes or account access is not allowed.
6. Acceptable use
The Service must not be used to:
- break any law or regulation;
- infringe the rights of others;
- cheat on, or gain an unfair advantage in, any examination or assessment in a way that breaches the rules of your school, university or examination body;
- reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or attempt to bypass licensing, security or access controls;
- upload malware or use the Service to harm others or the Service itself.
You are solely responsible for how you use the Service. EasySchool is a general study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any school, university or examination authority. It is your responsibility to use it in line with the rules that apply to you. We accept no responsibility or liability for any academic, disciplinary, legal or other consequence of your use of the Service.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and logos, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service while your license is active. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Content you enter, upload or create remains yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service (for example, to process a request you send).
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties such as payment providers, hosting providers and AI and search providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their terms may also apply.
9. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. You use the Service at your own risk. AI output can be wrong; you must verify anything important.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, grades, goodwill or opportunity, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law) will survive.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.
15. Contact and business details
The Service is provided by EasySchool, Norway. Questions about these Terms? Reach us through the contact page.
